Hair loss, known as alopecia areata is a normal physiological process that has to do with the hair growth cycle. Hair growth has 3 phases: anagen (active), catagen (transition) and telogen (resting). Hair in active and resting phases are mixed on the scalp, making the hair loss less noticeable. However, hair follicles become smaller over the years and the hair becomes thinner. As you age, part of your hair follicles shrink, making some hair thinning natural. Usually, about 30-75 hairs fall out a day. On the days of washing, it can rise up to 130. Tests have shown that the number of hair falling out equals the age. In 90% of the cases, Alopecia areata can be effectively treated with laser light therapy or using a hair serum.
